Unnao | Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Uttar Pradesh campus of Chandigarh University in Nawabganj, Unnao, calling it a landmark in the state’s journey toward high-quality, value-based education equipped with modern infrastructure. The newly launched campus is the first Artificial Intelligence (AI)-augmented multidisciplinary university in the state, aimed at producing future-ready students through globally competitive, employment-oriented, and tech-integrated courses.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Chief Minister emphasized that it is the duty of educational institutions to instill national values alongside academic excellence. “Education must shape disciplined, cultured, and patriotic citizens. Only then will India’s prestige shine brightly on the world stage,” he stated.
Highlighting the state’s transformation, CM Yogi recalled the dismal law and order situation eight years ago when investors feared entering Uttar Pradesh. “There was no safety—for daughters, for entrepreneurs, or for common citizens. Chaos and fear reigned. In such a climate, dreams of a better future cannot take shape,” he remarked.
He credited his government’s focus on security, discipline, and good governance for creating an environment where industrialists are now presenting investment proposals worth crores. “The opening of Chandigarh University here is a shining example of the faith investors now have in the state,” he said.
CM Yogi underlined that the AI-enabled campus of Chandigarh University will not only impart advanced education but will also promote startups, innovation, and entrepreneurship. All courses will integrate AI technology, ensuring that students are trained for global competitiveness.

“In a state where discipline prevails, good governance begins. But when discipline breaks, misgovernance creeps in—and misgovernance leads to destruction,” the CM warned, drawing from the Mahabharata to stress the importance of cultural values. “Only a value-driven youth can become the foundation of a strong and empowered India.”
The CM landed at the university campus by helicopter at 11:30 AM and inaugurated the institution at 11:35 AM. During his address, he praised the university’s blend of tradition and technology, describing it as a model that harmonizes the power of the pen with the strength of the sword.
The Unnao campus of Chandigarh University is expected to serve as a center for AI-integrated learning, fostering multidisciplinary education that aligns with the demands of a tech-driven global economy.
